Zonian Life® is a small business enterprise forged from one Zonians’ desire to creatively express and share his love for the wonderful life experienced in the Panama Canal Zone.  Owned and operated by Bruce Bateman III,  the Zonian Life mission is to serve as a creative tribute and celebration of the Panamanian and Zonian heritage of his own family as well as others everywhere who share the same Zonian spirit, pride and camaraderie.  All of the artistic visuals, creative media, and digital content produced by Zonian Life are directly inspired by three generations of Bateman Family memories, friendships, and life experiences in both Panama and the Canal Zone between 1943 and 1977.

Having been blessed with the opportunity to follow in some of the same childhood paths of his Father, Bruce was able to experience a unique and true sense of his family’s heritage as well as create some treasured Zonian memories and friendships of his own.  With the emergence of Social Media over the past several years, the ability to reconnect with these friendships and the sharing of these special memories and experiences has now become a source of rediscovery and family pride for Zonians everywhere.  This rediscovery is also the primary catalyst behind Bruce's creative development of the "Zonian & CZ Life" concept.

Continued happiness, pride and celebration are the main drivers behind the launch of the Zonian Life® website.  With respect for historical accuracy and visual authenticity being crucial, the designs and creative art produced by Zonian Life will always be done with the mission of keeping the spirit and memory of the Canal Zone alive and well!
